ERTL Cabela's Exclusive Big Game Hunter

There's more to hunting than clothes, guns, and bows. And Ertl has done a nice job realizing this.

 

After a day of trudging through the wilderness looking for game, every Hunter needs a good compass...

Of course, in this modern day and age, there are other ways of finding one's way...

- A GPS device, I presume.

And if you can't find the game, have it come to you!

And to see the game when it approaches:

Some fairly nice binoculars.

When the sun sets, the Hunter needs some help finding his way home...

A large flashlight, nicely detailed with an on/off switch...

But lacking any decent detailing at the business end.

Probably one of the most important survival tools anyone should have with them when they go outdoors is a knife.

The Hunter has a fairly nice straight-blade knife and sheath. However there is no belt loop on the sheath, nor any lanard to loop it around his neck. (Hey, as a matter of fact, the Hunter doesn't have ANY belt!)

And to carry all his loot in:

-A camouflaged backpack!

All in all, a pretty good deal! I'd have liked to see better detailing on the figure, (for example like a Blue Box Figure), but for $20.00 I think it beats Hasbro (better priced and detailed) and 21st Century Toys (better priced and more durable).
